Winston
Maund who lives in Prince Edward Island is a professional photographer
and has been photographing images of PEI and its
people since the 1970’s.

Winston’s interest in photography first started, while he
served in the Canadian Arm Forces. After the army he attended
the university of UPEI then started doing photography full time
in 1980. In 1982 he opened his own studio in Charlottetown and
has
been photographing PEI scenery and its people for over thirty years.
He was one of the first to jump into the digital photography in
PEI.
“
One of my passions is traveling the Island, photographing abstract
designs. The pleasure I experience when I get a glimpse of wildlife
brings out my artistic side, like finding a patch of lady slippers,
says Winston.” I love photographing abandoned farm houses,
or a half fallen barn, island landscapes, heritage roads or just
walking
the beaches photographing nature in its many forms.
My goal at each shoot is to capture the emotions and that magical
moment, to create a set of images that tells a unique story.
Winston
has also taught photography at Island community schools for over
twenty years. “I feel fortunate to have studied
and worked with some of the best photographers in Canada & the
US, says Winston” and enjoy sharing it with others.
